Introducing Penny!

A beautiful puppy and current Rowve mascot, here and on twitter. Penny joined the Whitaker family as a puppy in the spring of 2011. She enjoys long walks, fetch, chewing on things, and laying in the grass. She's brilliant and is currently going through obedience training with Pat (which we all know means that Pat is the one being trained). She's already a wonderful household family member, a hunting dog in training, and quite likely to be a Rowve bag model...

Welcome

Hi there,

My name is Justin Whitaker. That's me in the blue turtle-neck below. Next to me is my family: my father, Pat, my sister, Eve, mother, Ronnie, and my brother, Brandon.

And I'm here to welcome you to our little blog. I've been blogging, tweeting, and all the rest for years, so this is my job at the moment. Why do we have a blog? Well, I'll let my mom and sister tell the full story, but we have a business. Or they do, but I've been promised an eventual .00000003% of the company if it takes off, so I feel like a real member of the team.

Anyhow, the company is Rowve, or maybe roWve? I don't know. It's Ronnie (first 2 letters) and Eve (last two), plus a W. It's a bag company, mainly. It started earlier this year with my mom creating a yoga tote for my sister. That tote was so great that soon more were made, and then smaller bags, for make-up I'm told, and so on. The funny thing was, everyone who saw one of the bags wanted one. People started saying they'd pay for one, or pay for another one for a friend. So the idea was born, let's make a lot so everyone can finally get one!

And that's what we're up to now. Well actually, that's what my mom and sister (with help from my dad) are up to now (I'm living in England working on a doctorate, but happy to help however I can). I'm not sure if my brother has had to do much yet, but if he hasn't it won't be long before he's doing something for the company too.

So here's our blog, in its humble beginnings. Click the 'follow' button if you'd like to keep up with our progress and be the first to hear when bags are ready to ship out. As I mentioned, pretty much everyone who sees these bags wants one (the ladies at the bank even bought some when my mom took them in to open a new account!).

Soon we'll have pictures up here so you can see why. Stick around. Spread the word. Help us out!
